Duke of Edinburgh's Gold Award County Presentation 2011
The presentations, held at the Abbey Conference Centre, centred around the theme of volunteering and it was estimated that between the thirty nine students present they had completed 6,000 hours of volunteeing within our county. Lady Knollys, Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Norfolk presented the awards and, together with Mrs Shelagh Hutson, Chairman of Norfolk County Council and two volunteers gave interesting accounts of their volunteering experiences. The Award winners from West Norfolk were: Bridie Ashwell, Charlotte Dady, Alexander English, Matthew Gathercole, Ethan Goodfellow, Andrew Reeve, Emilia-Jane Shuardson-Hipkin and Jason Gray. |

The Norfolk County Duke of Edinburgh's Award presentations were held this year in Norwich on September 9th when eight students from the West Norfolk area were presented with their badges.
